You are cordially invited to attend a special luncheon on February 1st at 11:30 AM at Big Shots in Vero Beach, to learn about the important work being done by Bear Warriors United to protect Florida's manatees. Our guest speaker, Katrina R. Shadix, Executive Director of Bear Warriors United, will discuss the recent lawsuit filed against the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for allegedly violating the Endangered Species Act by allowing nitrogen-laden sewage to pollute the Indian River Lagoon and causing manatee deaths through starvation.
Join us as we learn about the critical issues facing our state's manatees and the steps being taken to ensure their survival. The luncheon will be held at Big Shots in Vero Beach, located at 3456 US Highway 1, Vero Beach, FL. 32960. Attendees are asked to enter from the front left of the building instead of going through the restaurant.
